Abstract

¸ñÀû: º» ¿¬±¸ÀÇ ¸ñÀûÀº ´ë»óÀÚ ¿ËÈ£ÀÌ·ÐÀ» ±â¹ÝÀ¸·Î °£È£»çÀÇ ´ë»óÀÚ ¿ËÈ£ Á¤µµ¸¦ ÆľÇÇÏ°í °£È£Àü¹®Á÷°ü°ú Á¤Ä¡Âü¿©°¡ ´ë»óÀÚ ¿ËÈ£¿¡ ¹ÌÄ¡´Â ¿µÇâÀ» ÆľÇÇϱâ À§ÇÔÀÌ´Ù.

¹æ¹ý: º» ¿¬±¸´Â Ⱦ´ÜÀû ¼­¼ú¿¬±¸ ¼³°è¸¦ ÀÌ¿ëÇÏ¿´°í µ¥ÀÌÅÍ´Â ¼­¿ï½Ã 2°³ ±¸ ³»¿¡ À§Ä¡ÇÑ 1°÷ÀÇ »ó±ÞÁ¾ÇÕº´¿ø, 3°÷ÀÇ Á¾ÇÕº´¿ø, 1°÷ÀÇ º¸°Ç¼Ò °£È£»ç 232¸íÀ» ´ë»óÀ¸·Î Àڱ⺸°í½Ä ¼³¹®Áö¸¦ ÀÌ¿ëÇÏ¿© ½ÃÇàµÇ¾ú´Ù. ÀÚ·á´Â SPSS/WIN 21.0À» ÀÌ¿ëÇÏ¿© t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson¡¯s correlation coefficient, ´ÙÁß¼±Çüȸ±ÍºÐ¼®À¸·Î ºÐ¼®ÇÏ¿´´Ù.

°á°ú: ´ë»óÀÚ ¿ËÈ£´Â 6Á¡ ¸¸Á¡¿¡ 4.64¡¾0.55Á¡, °£È£Àü¹®Á÷°üÀº 5Á¡ ¸¸Á¡¿¡ 3.60¡¾0.49Á¡, Á¤Ä¡Âü¿©´Â 5Á¡ ¸¸Á¡¿¡ 2.21¡¾0.71Á¡À̾ú´Ù. °£È£Àü¹®Á÷°ü(r=.37, p<.001)°ú Á¤Ä¡Âü¿©(r=.23, p<.001)´Â ´ë»óÀÚ ¿ËÈ£¿Í À¯ÀÇÇÑ ¾çÀÇ °ü°è¸¦ º¸¿´´Ù. ´ë»óÀÚ ¿ËÈ£¿¡ ¿µÇâÀ» ¹ÌÄ¡´Â ¿äÀÎÀº °£È£Àü¹®Á÷°ü(¥â=.28, p<.001)°ú Á¤Ä¡Âü¿©(¥â=.15, p=.014)·Î È®ÀεǾú´Ù.

°á·Ð: °£È£Àü¹®Á÷°ü°ú Á¤Ä¡Âü¿©°¡ ´ë»óÀÚ ¿ËÈ£ÀÇ ¿µÇâ¿äÀÎÀ̶ó´Â º» ¿¬±¸ÀÇ °á°ú¸¦ ¹ÙÅÁÀ¸·Î, ´ë»óÀÚ ¿ËÈ£ Çâ»óÀ» À§ÇÑ ±³À°Àû Àü·«°ú Àü¹®Á÷ ´Üü Â÷¿øÀÇ ³ë·ÂÀ» ±Ç°íÇÑ´Ù.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify the level of patient advocacy and to determine the influence of nursing professional value and political participation of nurses on patient advocacy theory.

Methods: This study used a cross-sectional descriptive study design. Data were collected from 232 nurses from a tertiary hospital, three general hospitals, and a public health center in two districts of a metropolitan using self-reporting questionnaires. Data were analyzed by t-test, One-way ANOVA, Pearson¡¯s correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression using SPSS/ WIN 21.0.

Results: The mean score of patient advocacy was 4.64¡¾0.55 out of 6, nursing professional value was 3.60¡¾0.49 out of 5, and political participation was 2.21¡¾0.71 out of 5. Nursing professional value (r=.37, p<.001) and political participation (r=.23, p<.001) showed a significant positive relationship with patient advocacy. Factors influencing patient advocacy were identified as nursing professional value (¥â=.28, p<.001) and political participation (¥â=.15, p=.014).

Conclusion: Based on the findings that nursing professional value and political participation are key factors of patient advocacy, educational strategies and endeavors as level of professional organization are recommended for enhancing patient advocacy.
